1. Information We Collect
Account information: Name, email address, and organization details when you create an account.
Product data: Product titles, descriptions, prices, images, and other catalog information you upload or import from Shopify.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, optimization counts, and performance metrics. Collected via PostHog and Google Analytics.
Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and improve the Service (optimization, scoring, ad generation)
- Send transactional emails (invites, alerts, weekly digests)
- Enforce plan limits and billing
- Analyze usage patterns to improve product experience
- Detect and prevent abuse
3. AI Processing
Your product data is sent to AI providers (Anthropic for text, OpenAI for images) to generate optimized content. This data is processed in real-time and is not used to train AI models. We do not share your data with AI providers beyond what is necessary to generate your requested output.
4. Data Isolation
ChannelOpt is a multi-tenant platform. Each organization's data is logically isolated — your products, brands, optimization results, and settings are only accessible to members of your organization. We enforce organization-level access controls on every API endpoint.

6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your organization's data within 30 days. Audit logs and email records may be retained for up to 12 months for compliance purposes.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). Analytics cookies (PostHog, Google Analytics) are used to understand product usage. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings.
8. Your Rights
You can access, update, or delete your personal data at any time from Settings. To request a full data export or deletion of your organization, contact support@channelopt.com.
9. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt data at rest and in transit, and follow industry-standard security practices. Authentication is handled by BetterAuth with secure session management. Access tokens for third-party integrations (Meta, Shopify) are encrypted in our database.
